Beloved, I submit to you that discernment is a gift from God, a result of spiritual maturity and a necessary tool for navigating life’s challenges.
There are scriptures that offer guidance on how to cultivate discernment, emphasizing the importance of seeking wisdom from God, studying His Word, and relying on the Holy Spirit.

Discernment begins with knowing the truth. The Bible equips us to distinguish right from wrong and understand God’s will.
Hebrews 4:12 ESV tells us;
βFor the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.β

Be vigilant over what influences your thoughts and decisions. Avoid worldly influences and renew the mind with God’s truth.
Romans 12:2 ESV tells us;
βDo not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.β

Being sensitive to the Spirit helps us recognize what aligns with God’s will and exposes falsehood.
1 Corinthians 2:14 ESV tells us;

Jesus said in John 8:32 AMP;
βAnd you will know the truth [regarding salvation], and the truth will set you free [from the penalty of sin].ββ

We must examine teachings, circumstances, and advice in light of Scripture.
1 John 4:1 AMP tells us;
βBeloved, do not believe every spirit [speaking through a self-proclaimed prophet]; instead test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets and teachers have gone out into the world.β

Holy God, thank You for helping us to grow spiritually into discernment.
Jesus, thank You for Your sacrifice, that lead to salvation, spiritual growth and divine wisdom.
Holy Spirit, only You gives us the power to discern Your will, and lead us into obedience.
Thank You Jesus for abiding with us as we abide in You.
