People are naturally desperate for knowledge.
For that reason, we have many sources of information to indulge the need; we have the media, books etc.
Unfortunately, most of what they know will eventually not going to give them eternal life after gaining it.

Jesus advocates the reason to attain eternal life.
Johnβ¬ β17β¬:β3β¬ βAMPβ¬β¬ says,
βNow this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God,
βand [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent.β

People are worshippers in nature but most people do not know the living and true God who’s the creator of the heaven and earth with all the fullness .
The question for ourselves individually is;
How much do I truly know Him (God) ?
We have to turn from false gods to this true God.

We are born in sin and desperately in need of a savior to redeem us from that slavery.
That’s why we are called upon to know Jesus Christ, the true Savior to deliver us from the depravity.
Actsβ¬ β4β¬:β12β¬ βAMPβ¬β¬
β And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among people by which we must be saved [for God has provided the world no alternative for salvation].β

We should all acquire this saving knowledge.
Eternal life begins with the twin knowledge of the true God and the true Savior.
In Hosea 4:6, God says,
β my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”
It’s dangerous to reject the knowledge of God.
We must give ourselves up into the study of his Word, the Bible, so that you may know him better as we read through its pages.
Apostle Peter exhorts believers in 2 Peter 3:18 to;
β grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.”

Almighty God, thank You for giving us the true knowledge of who You are, through Your Word.
Holy Spirit, give us the a true and saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Father, give us the grace to desire studying Your Word in order to truly know You.
