God’s Saving Grace – By Iwalola(Lola) Ademodi

Whenever I take time to think and meditate on the love of God which He expressed toward humanity, in form of HIS SAVING GRACE, I am in awe of HIS AMAZING LOVE.

Due to the “fall” of humanity in the garden of Eden. All humanity was sinful, lost, and helpless.

However, because of God’s love for us, He wanted to have relationships with His creations.

God had the plan of SALVATION by extending His GRACE toward us through Jesus Christ. Romans 5:8 speaks to the state of humanity.

Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

”But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Furthermore, The Word of God tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9 (AMP)that:

” For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith.

And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].”

God is so good that his grace saved our souls, and that grace changes us for eternity.

And when we fall in love with Jesus and experience his healing power, it shows.

We are changed and different because we are made new.

We cannot act a certain way or do certain things to earn God’s love, but we choose to pursue him out of our love for him.

Our past or our future cannot separate us from the love of Jesus Christ. (Romans 8: 38 – 39)

Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭38‬-‭39‬ ‭AMP‬‬

” For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

And the more time we spend in his Word, the more we want to be in his Word, yearning for his presence every day.

We are called to be lights in this dark world. We are called to make a difference because of the grace which God extended to us.

𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐘

Gracious God, thank you for the gift of your saving grace in my life.

Thank You for the gift of salvation which is made possible by Your Grace.

You have loved and chosen me, and I praise your holy name.

Father, I pray that You empower us to pass on the grace that You gave us to others.

Lord, abide with us at all times.

In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
