Beloved, we serve a God who has given us everything that we need to overcome the enemies of our souls , Satan and his cohorts.

βLittle children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist];
because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].β

Discernment is a gift from God, through the work of the Holy Spirit. He will show us things as they truly are, instead of how we (in our flesh) want them to be – in our career, in relationships and in our lives.
The heart of the discerning person acquires knowledge, and the ears of the wise are alert to knowledge and understanding.
Proverbsβ¬ β18β¬:β15β¬ βAMPβ¬β¬ tells us;
βThe mind of the prudent [always] acquires knowledge, And the ear of the wise [always] seeks knowledge.β

Discernment allows us to recognizing when someone is lying or misleading us.

βBe strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.ββ

The Word of God emboldens us to be strong and courageous in the face of enemy attacks.

Our thoughts control our action, hence our lives.
We must be careful of what we allow to settle in our minds and thoughts.

βFor as he thinks in his heart, so is he [in behaviorβone who manipulates]. He says to you, βEat and drink,β Yet his heart is not with you [but it is begrudging the cost].β
Also, Romansβ¬ β12β¬:β2β¬ βAMPβ¬β¬ encourages us to renew our minds.
βAnd do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].β

We are to be diligent in action, once we recognize ad are aware of the enemyβs actions.

βBe sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times.
That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.
But resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attackβrooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.]β
Be vigilant and focused, do not be distracted by the world temptation.

We need divine wisdom to navigate spiritual warfare and God has promised to give us such wisdom.
Jamesβ¬ β1β¬:β5β¬ βAMPβ¬β¬ tells us
βIf any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.β

Great and mighty God, thank You for yet another day of life.
Father You have the supernatural intelligence over the enemy of our souls. Therefore, we lean on You to fight our battles as You have promised us.
Lord, give us the discernment to recognize the activities and strategies of the enemy of our souls whose goal is to kill, steal and destroy any and all plans of Satan and his cohorts against us.
Jesus we glorify You for Your finished work on the cross, which allow us to fight from a position of victory instead of fighting for victory.
Thank You that we are overcomers and the victory has already been won for us.
Abide with us at all times, Holy Spirit.
