Faith is the foundation of every believer’s relationship with God.
The Bible tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please Him.
Walking by faith is a lifelong journey that honors God. This message explores its meaning, why it pleases God, and how we can cultivate a faith-filled life for His glory.
𝗛𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝟭𝟭: 𝟲 tells us
“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘥, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘪𝘮 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘏𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘏𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘏𝘪𝘮.”

Faith is more than belief; it’s a daily commitment to trust and obey God, even when His plan is unclear.
It honors God, by reflecting confidence in His character, promises, and sovereignty.
Let’s explore what it means to walk by faith and glorify Him in every step.

We are to trust God without seeing the full picture.
Personally, I faith as trusting God with reckless abandonment.
𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙗𝙨 𝟯:𝟱 tells us:
”Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.”
Like Abraham, who obeyed without knowing the destination, faith surrenders control, relying on God as our guide.
Hebrews 11:8 AMP tells us;
”By faith Abraham, when he was called [by God], obeyed by going to a place which he was to receive as an inheritance; and he went, not knowing where he was going.”

Faith and obedience are inseparable. Faith in God enable us to obey Him.
James 2:26 AMP suggests that;
”For just as the [human] body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works [of obedience] is also dead.”
Noah built the ark without seeing rain proving faith acts on God’s Word.
Hebrews 11:7 AMP tells us;
”By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family.
By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith.”
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗔 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.
Faith endures trials.
We are to run with patience, the race set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Hebrews 12:1-2 AMP explains;
”Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness],..
stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us,
[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity],
who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work].”
The Israelites marched around Jericho in faith showing perseverance leads to God’s promises.
Hebrews 11:30 AMP reminds us
“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days [by Joshua and the sons of Israel]. [Josh 6:12-21]”
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗔 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲
Faith requires boldness.
Joshua 1:9 AMP reminds us;
”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.””
David was bold in dealing with Goliath.
David said in 1 Samuel 17:45 AMP;
”Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.”
David faced Goliath with faith, declaring God’s power over obstacles.
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗔 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.
Faith deepens intimacy with God.
The Bible tells us Enoch walked with God
Genesis 5:24 AMP tells us
”And [in reverent fear and obedience] Enoch walked with God; and he was not [found among men], because God took him [away to be home with Him]. [Heb 11:5]”
Walking by faith strengthens our connection, making Him our guide, protector, and sustainer.
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗔 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
Faith waits on God’s timing. “𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘴”
𝙃𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙬𝙨 𝟲:𝟭𝟮). Like Abraham and Sarah, we must “𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺”
Hebrews 6:12 AMP
“so that you will not be [spiritually] sluggish, but [will instead be] imitators of those who through faith [lean on God with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in His power] and by patient endurance [even when suffering] are [now] inheriting the promises.”
We are trusting His perfect plan. Therefore, we wait on Him
Psalms 37:7 AMP encourages us..
”Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; Do not fret (whine, agonize) because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.”
𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗔 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Faith speaks with conviction.
“𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵”
Romans 10:9 AMP tells us;
”because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God], and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Joshua declared victory, affirming God’s power through faith-filled words.
Walking by faith means trusting, obeying, persevering, and boldly declaring God’s promises, knowing He is faithful in every step.
