~ WE ARE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN @everyone
As believers in Jesus Christ. we have a great reward to look forward to.
Glory be to God.
OUR TRUE CITIZENSHIP
We are true citizens of heaven, not permanent citizens of this world.
Philippians 3:20 tells us:
But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven.
And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;”
JESUS HAS RESCUED US FROM THE DOMINION OF DARKNESS.
Colossians 1:13 AMP says:
”For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness,
and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,”
Our identity and ultimate faith is in the Kingdom of God.
As citizens of heaven, we eagerly wait for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Who will bring eternal redemption.
Titus 2:11-14 AMP explained:
”For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [with a purpose that reflects spiritual maturity] in this present age,
awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us,
and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good.
WE HAVE THOUGHTS OR MINDSETS OF HEAVEN.
As citizens of heaven, living in the light of eternity, we are called not to be distracted by earthly things, but to set our minds on eternal things.
Colossians 3:1-3 AMP tells us:
Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, sharing in His resurrection from the dead], keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.”
WE ARE TO LIVE AS AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST
2 Corinthians 5:20 AMP tells us;
”So we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His appeal through us;
we [as Christ’s representatives] plead with you on behalf of Christ to be reconciled to God.”
As citizens of heaven ( the Ultimate Christians) living in the light of eternity, we are called not to be distracted by earthly things, but to set our minds on eternal things.
NO LET US PRAY
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for making us citizens of heaven. It helps us to live with a heavenly perspective as we eagerly wait for Jesus’ return.
I pray that our lives reflect the excellencies of Your Kingdom as we are Your representatives on earth.
Lord, I pray that You give us the wherewithal to be Your ambassadors everywhere we go.
Holy Spirit, abide with each and every one of us at all times.
In the matchless name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen
