JESUS GAVE AUTHORITY TO US BELIEVERS @everyone
Most believers in Christ are not knowledgeable about the truth that Jesus Christ gave His followers authority.
Such lack of knowledge could lead to a timid prayer life.
Jesus’ followers returned with joy to tell him in Luke 10:18 that “Lord, even the demons are subject to Jesus’ name.
”The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name. He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning.” – Luke 10: 17- 18 AMP
Jesus gave his disciples authority when they had not even asked him to. He continued and said:
”Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.” – Luke 10:19 AMP
Just like you stop when a policeman asks you to because of the authority given to the policeman by the state or country, in the same way Jesus says he has given us authority.
Authority has been given to all believers. We are not now praying for it, it is a present day reality. He says he has given it to you.
In addition, Jesus said in Matthew 18:18:
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth shall have [already]been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth shall have [already] been loosed in heaven. [Matt 16:19]” – Matthew 18:18 AMP
Therefore, we can pray bold prayers in the name of Jesus Christ. The name above all names.
We can command and bind Satan and his cohorts.
We can pray for healing and deliverance
We can loose ourselves and others from any bondage.
We can loose heavenly blessings and providence into our lives.
We can command destruction into the camps of the wicked.
We have power over Satan ( he can be crushed underneath our feet)
What an amazing gift.
In fact we are told in Hebrews 4:16 :
”Therefore let us [with privilege] boldly approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].” – Hebrews 4:16 AMP
The question is when we exercise authority, are we the one that does the work?
If we think we are, for any reason, it limits our effectiveness in praying with authority.
Even Jesus did not think he was the one that does the work in His authority. He said in John 14:10 AMP
”Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me?
The words I say to you I do not say on My own initiative or authority, but the Father, abiding continually in Me, does His works [His attesting miracles and acts of power].
Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe [Me] because of the [very] works themselves [which you have witnessed].
I assure you and most solemnly say to you, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior]will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach], because I am going to the Father.
And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son.” – John 14:10-13 AMP
Jesus said it was the Father in him that did the work.
Beloved, God is also in each one of us through the Holy Spirit, working with us and in us and for us.
The works we will do with the authority of God will be done by the FATHER in us through the Holy spirit.
Such authority is an emblem of the Ultimate Christian.

NOW LET US PRAY
Holy God, Father we thank You for blessing us with authority in the name of Jesus Christ.
Lord, the thought of Your love to give us such authority is humbling. Thank You.
Thank You Holy Spirit for empowering us with such authority.
Lord, help us to use the authority given to us for Your glory alone.
Jesus You are amazing. I love You Lord.
In Jesus Christ’s most precious name, I pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
