Whenever I am able to be still enough to think about life, I’m quickly led to the thoughts of the one thing I cannot live without. That one thing is my relationship with God through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. I am in awe of the fact that the everlasting God, the Creator of heaven and earth desires to have an intimate relationship with everyone He created because He loves us unconditionally. Yes, including you and me, and despite my sins, which separated me from God. He wants me to live with Him in eternity.
According to the bible in John 3:16-18 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
Individually, our life on earth will end one day. God created our souls to live for ever. When each of us die on earth our souls are ushered into eternity. However, the key question of whether I live eternally with God or not depends solely on whether I believe in Jesus Christ as the son of God and accept that He died to save my soul from condemnation due to my sins. God really wants to reconcile us to himself eternally because He loves us. He want a relationship with us.
In Romans 5:10, the bible states: “For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son (Jesus Christ), how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! ”
My friends, life is very short, eternity is forever. Therefore, a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, who loves you more that anyone can ever love you, who died so you can have eternal life, is a relationship you definitely cannot live without. If you have not done so. It is wise to give your life to Christ by accepting Him as your Lord and savior today. Repent from your sins and be baptized before it’s too late.
