~ YOU ARE POWERFUL!
To be honest with you, if someone were to tell an average Christian that they are powerful, they would probably say “no”.
However, the power we are talking about is our birthright as believers, because of the in dwelling Holy Spirit promised to every believer in Christ…
Jesus said in Acts 1:5, 8 AMP; “For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized and empowered and united with the Holy Spirit, not long from now.” But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”
Please read the part from verse 5 that says “But you will receive POWER and ABILITY when the Holy Spiritual comes upon you…” again.
Part of the reason that you and I do not walk in power is not because that power is not available to us right now. It is because we have not tapped into the knowledge that it is.
In addition, the Word of God tells us that the spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in us. if we give our lives to Him. That, beloved, is POWER!
Romans 8:11 AMP tells us “And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit, who lives in you.”
Did you catch that? The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave dwells in you and I. That is some power is it not?
The enemy does not want us to catch onto this truth.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 AMP, “And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom [using clever rhetoric], but [they were delivered] in demonstration of the [Holy] Spirit [operating through me] and of [His] power [stirring the minds of the listeners and persuading them], so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom and rhetoric of men, but on the power of God.”
Beloved, when we engage the Holy Spirit and are walking in obedience to His leading and guidance. His POWER is made available to us.
Another evidence that God made his power available to believers is spelled out in Ephesians 3:20 AMP that “Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to HIS POWER that is at work within us,”
NOW LET US PRAY
Most powerful God, thank You for making Your power available to us via the Holy Spirit. Help us Lord to be aware of such power in us and give us the grace to allow Your power to manifest in us and in our Christian walk, all for Your glory. In Jesus Christ’s powerful name I pray. Amen
