Everyone at a point in their lives have to overcome obstacles. As believers, we wonder why God allow us to go through such difficult situations.
Have you ever considered that God has allowed the obstacles in our lives for a purpose? I am not implying that the Lord caused trouble for us or has set us up to fail. Rather, He permits hurdles on our path as an opportunity for us to trust Him more.
God wants us to see that He has the full picture, and He will get us where He wants us to be despite challenges along the way. After all, there are no hindrances that are a match for the wisdom and power of God.
Therefore, in order to overcome those obstacles, we must look to the Lord, who sets the path for us, when we lean on His wisdom so that we do not stumble when we are confronted with obstacles.
We read in Proverbs 4:11-12 that
I have instructed you in the way of [skillful and godly] wisdom; I have led you in upright paths. When you walk, your steps will not be impeded [for your path will be clear and open]; And when you run, you will not stumble.”
God will either remove the obstacles, show us how to go through them, or empower us to surmount them. So we must not be discouraged. Often, the people who face the greatest barriers in life outdistance those who are unchallenged.
They do so by clinging to the Father, walking in the center of His purpose, and trusting Him to triumph. Take heart and trust God. It’s not only the most exciting way to live; it’s the only way to live.
LET US PRAY
Jesus, these challenges are no match for You. I trust You to lead me into the center of Your will and desires for my life. Thank you for Your sacrifice that allows me to come boldly to Your throne of grace and obtain mercy in times of need. Lord, You are good in all Your ways, empower us to please You with our lives. Abide with us and continue to strengthen us as only You can. In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen
