My husband and I worshipped at our youngest son’s church on Sunday. The pastor was in the middle of a series on “The Spiritual Realm”. During his sermon, the pastor mentioned the battles that are fought between the Spirit of God ( The Holy Spirit) and Satanic spirit (Bully spirit or evil spirits) on our behalf.
Our Lord Jesus spoke about the contrast between the spirit of the evil one and Himself in John 10:10, as He refers to Satan as the thief.:
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].
Personally, in my Christian walk and from counseling other, I share these few observations among many:
Holy Spirit gives life, Bully spirit kills
Holy Spirit tells truth, Bully spirit lies
Holy Spirit gives restores, Bully spirit destroys
Holy Spirit gives provides , Bully spirit steals
Holy Spirit gives freedom , Bully spirit binds
Holy Spirit gives love, and Bully spirit imposes fear
Holy Spirit gives light, and the bully spirit brings darkness
Holy Spirit heals, Bully spirit afflicts
Holy Spirit gives clarity , and Bully spirit brings confusion
Holy Spirit gives peace , and Bully Spirit brings oppression
Holy Spirit gives joy, and Bully spirit brings sadness.
LET US PRAY
Holy Spirit, I pray that each one of us experiences Your goodness as You live in us. Father, I pray that You protect and defend us from any and all bully spirits in the spiritual realm. Thank You for the victory that You won for us on the cross. Thank You for another day in life. In Jesus’mighty name, I pray. Amen 🙏🏾
With the Holy Spirit’s power in us, Satan is a toothless bully.
