Beloved, we have a loving God who has not left us hanging. He did not leave us to figure out how we live a godly life that He so desires from us as His children.
His Word from our scripture text today 2 Peter 1: 3-4 tells us that
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. – 2 Peter 1:3-4
A Godly life is possible only through our knowledge of God and His great promises and through them we can participate in the divine nature, which makes a godly life.
Scripture explains further; For this very reason,
* make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and
* to goodness, knowledge; and
* to knowledge, self-control; and
* to self-control, perseverance; and
* to perseverance, godliness; and
* to godliness, mutual affection; and
* to mutual affection, love.
For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in our knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ as plug-in to Him!
LET US PRAY
Father, we thank You for equipping us with everything we need to walk a Godly life for Your glory. Lord, please empower us to lean on You . In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen
