Well, we just went through “Holy week ” when the Bible tells us of evil meant against Jesus Christ and how He loved even those who meant evil against Him with plans to kill Him. His humility and submission to God’s will led to His resurrection and victory over death.
Another vivid example in the Bible is Joseph, whose brothers were so jealous of him that they planned evil against him to destroy him.
God had other plans for Joseph even though his wicked brothers put him in a deep well and eventually sold him into slavery just to get rid of him.
Joseph faced severe trials that lasted about 13 years.
Joseph could have questioned whether Jehovah God really loved him. And he could have wondered if Jehovah had abandoned him in his time of need.
But Joseph did not become embittered. Instead, he kept his senses by remaining calm. When he had the chance to retaliate against his brothers, he refrained from doing so and showed love for them and forgave them. (Gen. 45:4, 5)
Joseph behaved this way because he was able to focus on the goodness of God, thinking clearly. Rather than focus on his problems, he saw the big picture—Jehovah God’s purpose. (Gen. 50:19-21)
WHAT IS THE LESSON?
If you are mistreated, do not become embittered against Jehovah God or wonder if he has abandoned you.
Instead, meditate on how he has and is helping you to endure the trial. Additionally, when others mistreat you, a sure pathway to overcome any evil meant against us is to do God’s will. This is why we make the effort to cover over their imperfections with love. We are told in 1 Peter 4:8 that Love covers a multitude of sins.
LET US PRAY 
Merciful God, thank You for Your Love toward us that covered a multitude of sins.
Lord, I pray that You give us the grace to love those who meant evil against us so that we are not embittered. Help us to be useful in Your plans for our lives as Joseph did, by forgiving his brothers who meant evil against him. Protect us against all evil meant against us so that You use it for good and for Your glory. Abide with us throughout today, this week, and the entire month of April.
