In John 1: 11-12, the Bible tells us that Jesus was rejected by His very own people, the people who were supposed to love him.
”He came to that which was His own [that which belonged to Him—His world, His creation, His possession], and those who were His own [people—the Jewish nation] did not receive and welcome Him. But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—“ – John 1:11-12 AMP
Do not be surprised that you are experiencing rejection from your own people. The very same people who are supposed to love you.
This could be heartbreaking. However, take heart, because you are in good company. Jesus went through episodes of being rejected all the way to the cross. Jesus understands you and He is with you.
PRAY ALONG:
Lord God, Father we thank YOU for being an example for how to handle rejection. Give us the grace and wisdom that we need whenever we experience rejection, so that You great name is glorified. In Jesus Mighty name we pray. Amen
Have a blessed day
